If it's requested by a Charterer or Marketing Department.

What's the Validation of a vet?
0 - < 15 years of age:- Initially a maximum of 2 years following which the vessel is assessed to see if vessel and
fleet/manager performance would allow us to extend acceptance for a further year.
15 - < 20 years of age:- Maximum validity of 2 years as dictated by the ADNOC Ship Vetting Policy.
20+ years of age:- Maximum validity of 1 year as dictated by the ADNOC Ship Vetting Policy.

Is there any Inspection priority?
Less than 15 years of age
• Priority 1: More than 10 vets in 2 years and not inspected within the last 20 months.
• Priority 2: Not inspected within the last 20 months.
• Priority 3: Not inspected within the last 12 months.
• Priority 4: Inspected within the last 12 months.
Between 15 and 20 years of age
• Priority 1: More than 10 vets in 2 years and not inspected within the last 20 months.
• Priority 2: Not inspected within the last 20 months.
• Priority 3: Not inspected within the last 12 months.
• Priority 4: Inspected within the last 12 months.
Greater than 20 years of age
• Priority 1: More than 10 vets in 2 years and not inspected within the last 10 months.
• Priority 2: Not inspected within the last 10 months.
• Priority 3: Inspected within the last 10 months.
Definitions
• Priority 1: High usage vessel which we would like to inspect at the first opportunity.
• Priority 2: Would like to inspect in the near future.
• Priority 3: Would like to inspect within 10 - 12 months.
• Priority 4: Would like to inspect within 24 months.
• Priority 5: Any vessel with less than 2 vet records in the last 2 yrs.
• All combination carriers over 15 years of age.
• Any vessel that we have decided that we do not want to inspect for either owner or vessel reasons.

What is the inspection Rating?
1. A standard of the lowest conceivable level.
2. Substantial upgrading of manning and management technique required before an acceptable level can be attained.
3. Acceptable standard can be attained given considerable guidance and direction.
4. Limited amount of work required to become acceptable.
5. Minimum acceptable standard.
6. Average acceptable standard.
7. Above average - creditable standard.
8. Level of high quality attained.
9. Superior standard - exceptional.
• Ratings 1 to 3: A re-inspection would normally be required.
• Rating 4: It should be possible to accept the vessel on an owner’s warranty.
• Rating 5+: The vessel is of an acceptable standard.

How long it takes to get an inspection date?
That would depend on the following:
1. The Geographycal Circulars of the ship at the time of the request
2. The avilability of the inspectors
3. The urgency or the business need

What's the charge for an inspection?
Our nominal charge for the inspection is US Dollars five thousands (US$ 5000), ýexcluding any additional expenditure
for the purpose of the owners (e.g. delayed ship ýarrival, inspector sailing onboard at owner’s request, etc).ý

What's the charge for a vet?
Vetting enquiry would cost AED 1,000 per ship per vet.

Can I download a SIRE report?
Yes, SIRE reports can be downloaded by
the vetting team at any time provided the ship is question is nominated for Abu Dhabi business.

Can I download a Owner report?
Yes, Owners comments and replies are usually
downloaded provided the SIRE report for the ship in question has been downloaded and not separately

What's the charge for VIQ report?
WE do not charge for VIQ. The charge is included in the vetting charges.

what's the charge for VPQ report?
WE do not charge for VPQ. The charge is included in the vetting charges.

What's the charge for Owner Comments?
There's no charge for Owners comments.

Would you consider other oil major inspection as alternative to ADNOC Vetting?
Yes, all valid Sire Report carried out by Recognized oil majors are acceptable provided they are not
older than 9 months old and accompanied by ship's Owners comments and completed VPQ.

Any CAP rating required?
No, but we will expect ships to be
adopting CAS and ESP and comply with international legislations as approperiates. Defined
voyage to French ports will also attract requirements for The French Safety Assurance.

Period of validity of ADNOC inspection?
Please refert to our policy which states:
If the ship was not a risk to ADNOC Group, and the assessment outcome was Positive, a validity period will be given to the ship as follows:
1. If the ship is 10 years old or less maximum validity 24 month
2. If the ship is 10 -15 years old maximum validity 18 month
3. If the ship is 15 – 20 years old maximum validity 12 month
4. If the ship is 20 – 25 years old maximum validity 6 month
The validity period would not offer a blanket
approval for the ship but it would not require her to be inspected or assessed again
during that period. However, ships will be screened and vetted on each occasion she is
nominated to ADNOC Group business or comes into interface with ADNOC assets.

Cost per inspection per ship.
Cost of inspection per
ship will be US$ 5,000 Five thousnad US Dollars, paid upon completion of inspection
and prior submission of report, regardless if the ship was used for ADNOC business
or not. please refer to policy: 4.5.5 Ship owners will be charged US$ 5,000 per ship inspection

Cost per enquiry if we required to charter one ship for ADNOC Business.
Vetting inquiry for each ship will be charged at AED 1000 per vet.

How do we comment the queries?
We comment as follow:
What documents are required to be submitted for your screening?
We download the latest available SIRE report VIQ, and VPQ and Owners comments on it,
and we assess the ship based on its findings as well as our own data updates from LRFairplay,
Lloyds intelligent services, causalities and OCIMF.
Can our vendor directly send you the details of their nominated vessel which will load our orders?
No, we serve the ADNOC group companies and to share holders presented in the OPCO companies.
It is up to the marketing of the local company to decide if the ship needs screening or not.
Perhaps in future and once resources are available we will be willing to extend our support
further but not at present time. Our charges are limited to local sources codes only.
Vendors do not have sources code to refer vets to.
What is the Maximum Period required for the vetting/screening process (from
submission of details to your response)?
It depends on how business critical it is, we
address queries on priority basis and on first submit first serve, If during working hours and it
is urgent, within 3 hours of downloading the necessary reports, unless there was any technical difficulties.
If a nominated vessel have a valid vetting/screening certificated from an
international maritime agency, i.e., OCIMF, etc., will this be honored or recognized in our own
system?
Yes, provided no adverse terminal / port feedback from our ports in Abu Dhabi,
and there was no change to her status as per the automated update from LRFairplay and other
parties we use. Also, please refer to answer in Question (1)

If vessel is vetted for one client but later on nominated by another client
for Cargo Laycan prior to the 1st client, is the 1st vet is valid for the 2nd client?
No, Every vet is a cargo / port and operator-code specific, the ship would have to be
vetted for the first cargo using the appropriate source code, terminal and operator.

Can we vet through telephone call during weekend & holidays?No, vets are
only been made based on written request by the company raising the vet. It cannot be done on basis
of verbal communications. However, in extreme business critical cases, an indication can be given
as to the prevet status of the ship, but that should not be taken as the basis for s business
decision making. It is possible that ship was prevet YES and when vetted it returns a NO answer
basis latest Update or adverse terminal feedback

When the access to the OPCO’s will start? And how many access we can get?
The access to the OPCO is again a company specific and some OPCO companies are not able to
electronically communicate with ADNOC network. Remote access to friendly sites has already been tested and used.

If the server is down at ADNOC, what can we do? When we are going to use it?
The arrangement is currently undertaken to have a double sever hosting a ghost copy of the system
and its components. Also there is a continuous back up facilities both on terminal server and on separate
hard desk. If all failed, we can always revert to latest update contents to screen the ship.

Does ADNOC consider the age of the report?
Yes, ADNOC vetting system recognizes that reports older than 9 months are out dated for assessment.

Submission of report to SIRE is obligatory or with concern from owners?
Our inspection terms and conditions offer the owners the privileges to decide if the report
to be submitted to SIRE or not. But once accepted, the report will be submitted to the SIRE, as a
submitting member we are encouraging all reports to be submitted.

Can an ADNOC bunker tanker provide bunkers to an OBO?
Yes, but the OBO
would have to be at least screened /vetted if the ship was in excess of 1000 grt as per the policy

Where an ADNOC tanker is being used to provide bunkers, where all receiving ships
be vetted?
If the bunker ship was in excess of 1000 grt,. Then any ship interfacing with ADNOC
assets would have to be screened.

What areas will vet inspection be carried out (in Middle East only)?
Vetting inspections are currently available world wide, ADNOC will consider business
essential inspection request anywhere in the world, subject to availability of inspectors
and sufficient notice been provided.

Will inspection be carried out whilst discharging only?
ADNOC vetting
policy requires ship to be inspected in operational mode (Loading or Discharging) to enable cargo
systems and procedures to be assessed, however, subject to satisfactory review of owners profile and
fleet performances, reference may be made to them and ship be inspected in idle condition.
